Oral Health Program Director
Karla Marin, DDS
Karla Marin was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela; Where she earned her degree as a Dentist from the “Universidad Central de Venezuela”. Karla has wide experience as a dentist and in clinical dental settings. Also, over the years, she has gained a lot of administrative and dental clinic operation knowledge. In her most recent position she managed the dental program in one of the largest FQHC in Indiana. Karla looks forward to working with the health centers to improve access to oral health care, strengthen oral health integration, an enhance the public perception of the value of oral health as part of the overall health.
Role at IPHCA
Develops and coordinates programming for oral health integration
Provides technical assistance resources and training for CHCs aimed at the development and/or strengthening of oral health programs
Identifies oral health grant opportunities that align with IPHCA’s mission and works with partners as needed to develop grant proposals
Works with policy staff regarding reimbursement barriers for oral health services
